On Edge Skating would like to welcome GJ App to the Marketing Partners program. They have seen the need like we have for there being another recreational outlet here in Western Colorado. Their support of not only OES but our Skate Green philosophy is greatly appreciated. We look forward to growing in the Grand Valley and with support from local businesses we can achieve our goal of bringing skating back to the valley.

One of the things I absolutely love about western Colorado and Grand Junction are the people and the small town vibe. I love being able to get fresh produce at local farmers markets or by just going directly to the farm. I also like the fact that Grand Junction isn’t so small that everyone knows your business, while at the same time it’s not so big that you feel like nothing more then a number. Junction is right in the middle and That’s why I love it and choose to call it home along with my family.

If you haven’t noticed we spend a lot of time on Facebook. Both personally and on our business page. We are really trying to devote more time to our FB page. So if you have thoughts or ideas let us know. Post a comment on the page. We would love to hear from you.

Yesterday I found out through Facebook that Grand Junction has an event app for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and the Droid Market. Best of all it’s a free app! How cool is that? So we downloaded it and it’s a very nicely laid out app. So I got on FB and liked it. Then I noticed that OES wasn’t listed. So the 1 marketing brain cell yelled “Houston we have a Problem”. So right then I email the app and told them about us. Thinking I would be one of a gazillion emails to get lost in someones inbox. Not only did I get an email but the brains behind the app stopped by the rink this morning!

When was the last time you sent an email to a app director and got an in person meet and greet? Anyway I am totally hooked on this app now. We also have a new partner in crime to boot. You should definitely check out this app and if you live in western Colorado download it. it doesn’t get any better then free
